Important Announcements!
Hello Backgammon Friends,
Some quick announcements!
We would like to start recording the study sessions with Jason Lee from 5 - ~5:50 PM to post on YouTube. If you are opposed to being included on YouTube, we ask that you leave your camera off upon logging in. Jason will be sure to remind everyone of this as well (and Zoom will alert you to the fact that the meeting is being recorded). We are hoping to share our blunders, and the lessons learned from them, with others trying to improve their game!
Our good friend Donald Gabbai is going to be driving from Northern Virginia to the Ohio championship in March. His plan is to leave on 19 or 20 March and return on 23 or 24 March. Now, onto business as usual. Last week, in a field of 14, the illustrious Rick Penn went undefeated, beating defending champion Maggie Sweeney in the final round. This comes after we accidentally set up Challonge incorrectly, which meant your humble millennial director had to use (gasp!) pen and paper to move the tournament along. This was Rick’s first win of the new year, and he now sits in 5th place in the club standings. Great work, Rick!
